i At the Stalingrad metro station in Paris, a refugee camp was spontaneously created in 2016. The square and the metro station have been named after a bloody battle that was fought between the Soviet Union and Germany in World War II. Softseen and Carson Dark and Lovely is a product series of Loreal, a French and the world’s largest cosmetics company. The series is meant for people with dark skin.

The text in the upper part of the work is from a sticker in the neighbourhood of the Stalingrad Metro Station. The Spanish immigrant Ana Hidalgo is the Mayor of Paris.

Liberté, égalité, fraternité – liberty, equality and brotherhood – is the motto of the Republic of France, here represented on the jars of the Italian Nutella chocolate spread. In Paris, Nutella is often spread on crepes that you can buy at pancake stands on the streets.
